How to Segment a Topic by User Attributes?

Segmentation Report allows you to segment topics by user attributes.

For example, you might want to know how many users in different cities reported late deliveries. You can use the Segmentation report to segment the topic "Late Deliveries" by user attribute "Country" and get a full breakdown.

How to segment a topic?

  1. Navigate to Segmentation
  2. Choose a topic you wish to segment
  3. Choose a user attribute that you want to segment by
  4. Choose a date range for your report
  5. Click Segment

A report will be generated showing you the key topic metrics broken down by the chosen user attribute.

Which user attribute types are supported?

The segmentation report supports user attributes in the following format:

  • True/False (boolean)
  • Single choice (list)

Please note that it is not currently possible to segment a report by attributes formatted as date, numerical, or text string type.

Can I sort my report?

Yes, you can easily sort the report by any metric in the report.

  1. First, generate your segmentation report
  2. In the top row of the report, click on the metric that you want to sort by
  3. The results will automatically reorder by the chosen metric in descending order
  4. If you wish to view the report in ascending order, click on the metric title in the top row one more time.

Can I export my report?

Yes, once you have generated your segmentation report, you can export it to CSV format.

  1. First, generate your segmentation report
  2. At the top of the report, click Export to CSV
  3. Your report download will begin shortly and you will be able to save the file to your computer.
